*POSITION TITLE* : Volunteer & Site Coordinator *General Position Summary** :* This non-exempt position has the major responsibility to manage and implement the operations of the CASH Oregon Free Tax Preparation Program and, on a to-be-determined basis, to provide operations support to the Financial Coaching and Education Program. Primary duties include: · Recruiting volunteer tax preparers, scheduling, coordinate, communicate and supporting volunteers · Site managers throughout the year; implement volunteer recognition program; maintain volunteer database. · organizing and assisting with training for volunteers · Implement community outreach programs and partnerships to promote federal and state tax credits and free tax preparation program and sites. · Manage tax preparation sites, including working with site supervisors to ensure all operational requirements are met, including computer hardware, software, and network requirements. · Organize CASH Oregon Forum meetings and manage relationships with members; attend Committee and Board meetings; document Forum and Board meetings. · Arrange for collection and compilation of survey and tax data, and season end evaluations; prepare other reports as needed. Volunteer & Site Coordinator must pass the IRS written examination for volunteer tax preparers. Job responsibilities are carried out in a work environment that consists of a wide diversity of work situations. Job involves a high degree of complexity and difficulty based on the oversight of tax preparation program (tax law, filing returns, etc.) and managing the data and other information which is collected from tax preparation customers. Procedures/instructions exist for approximately one-half of job assignments/tasks. Position receives limited supervision *Education and/or Experience* :** Associate's Degree specializing in Business Administration, basic tax accounting training, social science or a related field and 1-2 years experience in community relations; program and volunteer management or equivalent education or experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred. *Job Conditions*:* * Position works under constant time requirements/constraints. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Prior to and during tax season (November through April) position will experience irregular work schedule including some nights and weekends.
